How this zakat calculator works
Zakat is 2.5% of your net zakatable wealth, once that wealth reaches the nisab and has been held for one lunar year. This calculator adds your cash, savings, gold, silver, investments, business stock and money owed to you, then subtracts debts you must pay now.
Which nisab does it use?
It uses the silver nisab, which is 612.36 grams of silver. This is the lower threshold, so more people in need can benefit. Enter today's silver price per gram and the calculator works out the nisab for you. If you follow a different view, please ask your scholar.
